New Standard Provides Clarity on Health Effects of Building Products October 4, 2011 - Boora is a founding Endorser of the Health Product Declaration (HDP) Open Standard, a format for the reporting of product content and health information of building products. The HPD Open Standard Working Group is a voluntary association of experts from the community of building designers, specifiers, owners and users. The HPD Open Standard Working Group was convened in July 2011 by the Materials Research Collaborative, a joint project of the Healthy Building Network and BuildingGreen, Inc.. Boora's Mike Manzi and Amy Running were part of the steering committee that developed the HPD Open Standard to provide clarity on building product's health effects. Eventually we expect an expansion of this effort to address the full human and environmental impact of building materials, a necessary step on the road to truly sustainable buildings.
