This Japanese restaurant was designed as part of a tenant improvement of a corporate campus building. The design takes cues from two traditional Japanese dining experiences — the vibrant culture of street vendors and the tranquility of the traditional tea room. The space has a variety of seating options ranging from large group tables to private dining / meeting rooms. Carefully detailed design elements have big impact. Seating niches in the wall are inspired by the design of a bento box. A cherry blossom tile pattern is a bold backdrop in the servery. Traditional in design — sunken tables, tatami mats and shoji screens — the private dining rooms feature the latest in video conferencing technology. |
