A flexible office space for a 300-person legal team now meets their unique needs. Drawing from staff surveys, workshops, interviews and research, the design team re-created the 2-story office space to accommodate paper-intensive work and provide private areas. During the design process, the theme of making a “work- home” resonated with the user group. The concept of the “house” inspired the design: a treehouse, a family room, and huddle rooms lined in floral-wallpaper. The design includes: open work stations, meeting rooms, nooks, a research library and outdoor porches. Completed in 2010, the offices are open, flexible, light filled and energized with an array of social and work settings. The project is certified LEED CI Silver. |
